Cultural event in Maasai Land

On the October 2nd, we marked the international day of non violence in Maasai Land. The events included meetings with the community members, pupils and teacher of Ilmamen Primary school. In the meetings we discussed issues of non violence and encouraged the community members to participate in the activities of the World March for Peace and Nonviolence. During the occasion we commissioned the gate to the school with a non violence message “non violence zone”. This will be a symbol of non violence within the Maasai community. We also informed the humanists in the region about the current changes in the movement, other meetings will be held to help to choose the organism in order to facilitate the formation of base teams.
